Closet Fix Up

I have a huge walk-in closet in a new construction condo. The closet is a blank slate -- no hooks, no clothes bar, no shelves -- just open space with a door. I'm looking to maximize the utility of the space. Can anyone recommend a good closet building company to do the project? California Closets are the only one I've heard of, but if anyone has had good experiences with others, do tell.

I went to the Container Store and had them help me design a nice closet with Elfa products. It's very functional and attractive - I like it a lot.

If you are at all handy, you can design and install Elfa shelving. The container store is always having sales on it, too. Good stuff, if a bit industrial looking.

I have both california closets and easyclosets in my house. I used california for the master and child closets -- the efficiency ideas of the designer were extremely helpful. I subsequently used easyclosets for coats and utility. They were pretty basic and I hyad an idea of the layout that would work for my family. An important aesthetic decision is whether you like board or wire shelves. I think Elfa has wire shelves only.

We used California Closets. A bit pricy, but their customer service is great and they are really good about optimizing your space, no matter how big or small.
