cedar siding installation

Has anyone installed cedar siding, and have a carpenter they can recommend. We resided the front of our house and were not very impressed with the work. Now we need to do part of the back (just one floor's worth) and can't seem to find anyone interested in doing it. It seems no one does real wood anymore! Would love suggestions

I'm a woodworker, but I don't want to do the job. However, there's a crew doing a cedar siding job on 13th street, between 5th & 6th...close to 5th on the north side...maybe #283. anyway, go check them out.

Most people aren't interested in "small jobs", sad but true. We waited over a year to have the front of our house and 1/2 of the back done. Lidmark of Staten Island did the job. We had to "finish" things they weren't interested in doing. Finding someone to do the work is 1/2 the battle, making sure they are reasonable, reliable and will do a good job is the other half. Good luck. We are still looking for someone to do our steps and the bottom of our house-either the prices are ridiculous or they dont' know what they are doing (my husband knows construction so people can't get one over on him). It's a never ending battle.
