960 Sterling Place
Can anyone comment on this property in Crown Heights Brooklyn. I have been looking at a few studio units in this building and the price per square foot is phenomenal, not to mention the maintenance is low. Any members live in the building?

It's in a good part of the neighborhood but I don't know about the building itself. I believe there were some posts about it a couple months ago so I would search the forum.
(If I remember correctly it's part rental, part co-op). I would find out if the plan is turn the whole thing into co-ops or keep some of it rentals. You want to live in a building where everyone owns.

If this is the large apt building on the corner of Sterling and New York, across from the Hebron School, I've only heard good things about it. It is in a great part of CHN, and is in Phase 2 of the landmarking initiative, which means the building will be landmarked, hopefully in the next year or so.
It certainly is a well kept and quiet building, I have several friends on the block, and I think it is very nice and safe. I've walked home from there pretty late at night, and have never worried.
I know that is not specific at all, but I hope it at least gives you an idea of the neighborhood.
