You're asking a $1,000 for an item that retails for $1,200. You've got to be kidding.

I had one of these for years. I paid $1100 new and gladly would have sold it the next day for $300. It SUCKS.

I am in the market for one of these, but I can get it delivered to me for $1200 and have a warranty--someone to talk to if it breaks. Why would I either go pick it up or pay someone to do it, leaving me at the retail price without any of the benefits?
Post again if you decide you want to sell it at some price that makes assuming the risk of it not working and doing you the service of removing it reasonable. I would start *considering* this situation at $4 or 500.

First, I don't know whether or not this washer/dryer sucks? I never used it. My neighbor has been using it for over a year and has had no complaints. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Secondly, the Warranty is still available through the company. And the papers and forms for the warranty are available. Sorry I don't offer any add'l product protection plan. I can also remove it from my space no problem. I'm just not interested in delivering it to someone elses place... so dont pretend that you would be doing me a service.
Finally. Like I said, the price is negotiable. All I found online was the item for $1199 on PriceGrabber.com. And that is without shipping and handling. If you found it cheaper thats good. the range I threw up there was on the high side and figured I would come down from there, so if someone is interested in the unit, then I can entertain the idea of letting it go for something closer to $500 rather than $900, just dont be condescending in your posts. Dont get me wrong, I still value your responses. I just needed to address some of these issues. Thanks

What is it with people who advertise new or "like new" stuff here, craigslist, etc., for slightly below retail?
If you are really lucky and find a sucker to buy your stuff for close to retail - Good for you. But really, once you take it home - IT IS USED!!! Regardless if you never took it out of the box, used it only once, whatever.
Its not worth the trouble of having to pick it up, wonder if it is really the condition you state, warranty and return issues, etc.
Please be realistic...

what is it with people who leave comments that don't make any sense. if you are interested in buying the thing then do so. if not, then don't leave a comment. close the browser window. vent to yourself. but don't knock someone else if they are actually interested and dont want to pay full price for a brand new item. saving a few hundred is better than nothing. good luck to the seller, sorry about all the comments left without substance...

I think some people in new york think they get a cookie for being a jerk. the problem is most new yorkers have already claimed that title so sorry no cookie for you. Keep your mean comments to yourself and let the person sale her/his item. Gish aren't you a ball of sunshine!!

Jerk?
This poster is saying *both* that the unit has never been used, and that their neighbor has been using it for a year.
That's jerky, that's jerking someone around. And it fits with a larger pattern, of offering a bunch of words and a picture of not the thing you are selling, and then offering it at about retail value.
I think it's reasonable to tell someone that their offer is unreasonable... which it is.
What is not reasonable is to turn around and go back on what you said.. as in "it's never been used... except I know it works because my neighbor has been using it!" Leaving comments like that is just exposing oneself as a playah, someone who is going to say whatever people want to hear, and who wants to give such a person money?

i don't know what is worse... people who leave jerk comments or people who are purely too (fill in the blank) to understand what is written out in plain english.
Again, the washer/dryer came with the condo. Just like it came with all the other condo units in our building. So the neighbor has been using this same Model Washer/Dryer unit. NOT, the same exact unit that we are selling.
HENCE, the unit is BRAND NEW AND UNUSED... so therefore the descripition is that of a brand new and unused unit courtesy of the manufacturers website. And it comes with a manufacturers warranty.
As for the price, hells yeah, i'd love to get something close to retail, who wouldn't. but I know I won't get anything that high, which is why i said that it was negotiable. leaving it open for people to say hey, i'll take it for so and so... then i could consider any possible offers. I never said there was a bottom line price that i wouldnt go down too... which brings us back to the first paragraph of this post...
lets read things a little better people... sorry if I do come off as a jerk but i just threw this ad up here to see if anyone was interested in a washer and dryer not to agitate anyone or to hear people vent. sorry if things werent written out clearly enough...
