Tree clippings for decoration

I would like to go somewhere within driving range of NYC and get some tree clippings to put around the house, without hacking down my neighbors tree limbs (illegally, no doubt). Copper beech is at the top of the list. Anyone know where to go?

I just now realized you meant holiday decor, not mulch "around the house" outside!

Try anyplace right here in Brooklyn where they sell trees close to the holidays. They always have trimmings laying around after pruning the trees for those who buy them. I have asked tree places in the past if I can take a few branches to put in a vase at home. It's nice because it's recycling; they'd just throw the stuff away otherwise.

Check out Shannon Nursery... I have always purchased holiday plants and greenery there... very reasonably priced.

Thank you both. I will check out Shannon florist. Ideally I would love to find a place where I could cut my open clippings but the parks department would probably have something to say about it.
