I went to the Open House New York at Nevins & Pacific a week ago and they recommended speaking with KEYSPAN(now Grid something--ugh!)
and ask about Cinderella projects.

I have a solar hot water heater - about 30 gallons. It is quite good as an auxiliary, the water gets quite hot, but the pressure is not high. They way it works is that it sits on the roof and has a switch in the kitchen that will change between it and the gas powered system. Other people have a switch in the bathroom. I don't live in Brooklyn, I just left my apartment in SOHO for China, and am working with alternative energy companies around the world. I'd like to bring this technology to Brooklyn, cheap!

what are solar tiles, that sounds intersting if you can walk on them since we dont have space for big solar heat units
