Small Stoves that are Wider than Deeper?

Looking to renovate my small, narrow little brownstone kitchen, I keep wanting to turn my existing stove 90degrees so that it more shallow than it is deep. Of course, that's not possible, since doing so would be the oven door, and the stove controls on the side.

So the question beckons, does any company manufacture a small stove that is wider than it is deep? we're talking SMALL here; obviously, most large, high-end stoves are wider than they are deep.

Have you thought of using a two-burner cooktop? With regards to a proper stove/oven, many mainstream companies make products that are sold by special order only, you would never see them on a sales floor. I would think that a trip to a local appliance store (not Best Buy, or another big box) might be a useful trip. I found my refrigerator that way. The local guys know their market (small apartments) and are often willing to make those special orders.

Try calling or visiting Drimmer's, on Ocean Avenue. They have alot on the floor and can also order anything not on display.

i would agree that the cooktop option would work pretty well here. then you could possibly find a small scale oven to fit somewhere as well, or maybe fit a full scale oven in a different spot.

FYI Drimmers referred to in an earlier comment is not on Ocean Avenue, but on Coney Island Ave between Avenue's L&M. I bought all of my high end kitchen appliances there 3 years ago.
