recommendations for movers

we're looking for a good company that will pack and move our stuff -- the packing is pretty significant b/c we're moving it into a space that's being renovated, so would like for everything to be packed/wrapped such that it doens't get too contaminated in the reno. tia!

I cannot say enough good things about Movers Not Shakers, 718-243-0221. The move was completely stress-free, nothing got lost or broken or even the teensiest bit scratched up, and those guys packed my stuff to survive the Armageddon. I would have paid them twice what they charged me.

Shea Movers is very good. I priced my Move with Movers not Shakers and they were almost 50% higher. Shea did such an awesome job and in almost half the time Movers not Shakers said they would take.

Plus shea will come to you rplace and write you an estimate. If they take less time than estimated, they will charge you for less, if they go over the estimated time, you will only pay what the estimate was for.

Cant say enough about them.

I moved about a month ago from Park Slope to Bed Stuy and used Movers not Shakers. They are simply great - accommodating, personable and trustworty. I highly recommend them.

Moving Your Way is a great moving company. These guys packed my whole apartment for me and I never lifted a finger. They were kind, gave me a resonable price, were on time and nothing was damaged. I would use Moving Your Way again and again.

I am moving soon and last time I had an unpleasant experience regarding tipping. How much do you tip them? How much do you think they expect? Thanks!
