HPD registration?
What does it mean if a property is registered with HPD? Is this at all related to SRO status?

Look at the BIS system on DOB's website. If the property is an SRO is will say "Yes" next to the SRO status......Good luck!

I think it means there are rent-regulated units in the building, whether SRO or not.

You have to register with HPD if it is considered a "multiple dwelling". I don't know what the minimum size is, but our 4-family requires the annual registration and $13.50 check. I believe it just shows that your building is in the system. It doesn't necessarily mean there are rent-stabilized or -controlled tenants (ours doesn't).
