How a New Yorker make it work?
Hi, Brooklynites!
I'm a reporter working on a story about how New York families make ends meet. We've got a quite a reputation here for high prices and even higher life demands-- especially once we have kids and have a whole new set of demands to manage. I'm looking to speak with a few people about what they do to make their New York lives work for them. Information will be published in our magazine, but it will be entirely anonymous. I understand the sensitivity of this subject and will do everything I can to make you comfortable with your degree of anonymity.
Please email me at financialreporter.ny@gmail.com if you think you'd be a good fit for this interview and would like more information.
Thanks so much,
C Brown

There's a different good story right here on the forum: people selling their services as architects who are not really licensed architects. One has been discussed alot on the forum the past few days, and I know of another one. If you're interested in looking into it, respond here and I'll get back to you.

Why would a reporter for the "Financial Reporter" use a gmail account?

i hope your stories contain better grammar than is presented by your writing online.

here are some answers for you:
a) we get help from mommy & daddy
b) we live in half the amount of space as people elsewhere in the US
c) we don't buy cars, go on exotic vacations, second homes or enough life insurance
d) we live paycheck to paycheck, even at our higher salaries, and pray that we don't lose employment
e) we always meet people in the park because there's no room or money to entertain in our smaller places

To clarify, my magazine is not called "Financial Reporter" (To my knowledge, none such magazine exists). In the interest of protecting the magazine's story as well as potential interviewees' identities, I have used this Gmail address (financialreporter.ny@gmail.com) rather than my work email or usual personal email.
I appreciate the answers posted above, but we do need actual interviews to make this story work. Please don't hesitate to email me with more questions. I hope the email address does not deter anyone who would otherwise be interested!
Also, duly noted, 1:15pm guest-poster: apologies for forgetting the "does" in my post's heading.

Why do some people feel that this forum is an English course.... We all are not English fanatics and just because some things are not spelled correctly doesn't exactly mean people can't spell or write correctly. Please, stop judging people writing grammar etc....This is a forum to express and get answers pertaining to our homes etc....
