is there such a thing that can be put inside the registers or am i just wishing? we've just moved into a house with forced air and i'm worried about dust+allergens blowing around when the heat comes on. any advice?

when we put in a new furnace, we had them install a filter in the main duct before it forked into the different stacks up the ductwork. that being said, we put cheesecloth behind the registers of the bedrooms and the living room and den (not my office or guest room to allow normal air flow -- you have to fool around iwth the balance). We change them every other month. we also have a good HEPA air filter in her bedroom. And, we had the ductwork cleaned when we had the filters put in. We heard mixed reviews on whether this was smart or not (do you just blow the dust around more???), but we did it in the summer when we weren't around, so it had time to settle and we did the cheesecloth thing every single month that season.
