Good Moving Companies
We're soon moving to Brooklyn (yay!), and I'm busy getting quotes from moving companies. So far I know of Wong Family Movers and Park Slope Movers/Moving Your Way. Does anyone know of any other companies to recommend (or ones to avoid)?

I used CityWide Movers for my move from Park Slope to Clinton Hill, and they were simply great. Check them out at http://www.citywidemovers.net/
Fred, the owner, requested an approximate inventory before the big day - big furniture items, number of boxes, and so on - and he and his staff turned up on time and moved everything quickly, safely, professionally, and with a smile (staircases and sweltering heat notwithstanding)! I would definately use them again, and have no problem recommending them to others.

I loved Movers Not Shakers too. They were exceptional 718-243-0221. Tell them Michelle from Bond St sent you.

Try Shea movers. My fiancée used them when she moved in. The guys were extremely professional and personable. Most of all they were HONEST...a rarity with NYC moving companies.

Moving Your Way gave me a fair estimate, showed up right on time, and when it came time to pay there were no surprises! I highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Moving Your Way. I had no idea what to expect so I asked them to come to my apartment and they gave me very reasonable estimate. They brought me boxes, packing paper and whatever supplies I needed. We're renovating, so I'll be using them again soon for sure!

Had a bad experience with Santini. Not horrific broken stuff everywhere bad, but just slow slow slow. Our men-with-a-van the next day were literally twice as fast.
