Changing C of O from 4 to 2
We recently bought a brownstone that came with a C of O for four. We want to change it to two for various reasons (including the fact that we'd like to remove the sprinkler system). What would an expeditor typically charge for this? How long would it take the DoB to approve? Would it require an Alt-1?

Changing CO requires ALT 2 and ALT 1 if you're doing renovation work with it, which likely you will be doing. DoB process is a crap shoot. While it's not the correct way, you probably will end up doing the work first and getting CO approved after the work is done.
