Please note that Property Shark is flawed. It lists our house as a three story, when it is a four, and lists an incorrect C of O. Best to physically go to the buildings dept and look it up, as they have it on file.

It's not really Property Shark's fault, it's the underlying data-usually from city's department of finance. The city is almost always correct on lot size, but sometimes off on number of stories, building size and especially finished/unfinished area.

Anyway, poster #2 is correct - if the DoB has a CofO, it's on BISweb. However, there are many other useful documents that DoB has (filed building plans, etc.) that are not available online and you have to go in person to examine or copy.
