Gutter repair person
I need to fix/replace part of the leader pipe that runs along the back of my house from my roof gutter to the basement drainpipe. Would this work be done by a roofer or a plumber? Or other?
Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Disagree.
Roofers do not fix the line that goes from the gutter into the sewer. That's a plumber.

FWIW, I've had this work done by both a plumber and a roofer over the years. In my case, the roofer did a better job [the plumber, a wonderful man, since deceased, sealed what may well have been the original 1899 leader with silicone caulking. When I had it taken down a number of years later, to have Thorolastic applied to my rear wall, the leader fell to pieces, so I suspect it was spraying water onto my rear wallfor years, despite having the seam caulked
In my house the leader goes into a cast iron waste pipe that sticks up a few feet at the rear of the house [courtesy of the previously mentioned plumber]. In such a situation I think the leader is appropriate work for a roofer and the cast iron for a plumber, but there's some overlaphere.
