Bulk Recycling

Hi,

Need a tip on where to take recycling. (Yes, I know, recycling is mandated by law for residential spaces--let's just say not everything about my building is above board and/or eco-friendly.) My girlfriend and I are expecting and I need to make room by cleaning out space, which means throwing out old magazines and newspapers. Could someone tell me if there's a public drop-off space somewhere in or near Clinton Hill for magazines, newspapers, and boxes? Thanks.

You can call sanitation at 718 768 4105 but to my knowledge you just have to tie up the mags or newspaper and put them out for recycling. I used to take my large bags of garbage to the closest sanitation depot on Crown and Franklin because I didnt want people going through it and leaving it strewn on the sidewalk but I dont think they are there anymore.
