The British and their radiators
I would like to replace the radiators in my brownstone. When I do a search, I'm always drawn to the ones in the U.K. (below is a link of an example)
Here are my questions;
Are their mechanics and intallation specs different than ours? Can anyone recommend a plumbing/heating specialist to handle such a job?
thanks for any help.

The U.K. threads are different than ours.
Ours are tapered to get smaller as they move along. The British threads are consistent. In the US we call that a "running" or "machine" thread.
We can join the two threads together in many cases, but other times it's better to make the connection with an appropriate adapter.

Here's the best website I've found for your standard steam radiators (rather than the new designs listed in the earlier comment).
