Surveyor

Would anyone on the forum happen to have a recommendation on a good land surveyor? We need to have our property properly surveyed before our friendly neighborhood developer tears down the home next door to us.

I had my property surveyed about 5 years ago prior to installing a backyard fence. I used Barlett Ludlam & Dill in Mineola NY. This firm was the land surveyor who did the ORIGINAL survey of my Carroll Gardens property in 1910, so they have been around for nearly 100 years. They were professional and responsive, and I would recommend them highly.

I used them for the exact same reason-new construction next door. Whom ever you choose have them give you reference points a good distance from the property line so later you will be able to measure back from the marks. Boro Land came when they said they would and gave me a fair price. I received a nice plat. FYI the property line literally disappeared shortly after construction began but their surveyor's marks matched up more or less with ours...so far.

Thanks. Called Boro Land Surveying, Precision Surveyors and Bianco Surveyors so far. All came recommended. Will let the forum know who we pick (and how they turn out).
