framing to code ?
im doing a gut reno and need to do lots of framing. do i need to make every wall our of metal studs for fire code or can i frame out of wood also ? whats the fire code in bk ?

The drywall is what makes the wall meet firecode. Single 5/8 for 1 hour and double for 2 hour. Steel is the preference in urban markets. Wood is everywhere else. Make sure that all gaps and cavities are sealed behind the drywall at the top plate to prevent any fire from climbing inside the wall.
