dishwasher repairman?

I have a 3 year old GE dishwasher that needs servicing. The round container for the dishsoap does not click closed. Also, one of the buttons on the exterior doesn't work anymore (won't pop out or push in). I know I can call GE for repair, but they charge $90 just for walking in the door and parts/labor are on top of that. Anyone know a good dishwasher repairman in the Brooklyn Heights area (or willing to come to the Heights?

Have you called Sears to get a quote?

I'd just use GE. Everybody is expensive these days. Sears may be a few bucks cheaper, you probably won't get an appointment for a few weeks.

Thanks for the recommendation of expert. I've actually used them many times before for vacuums and air conditioners. I called them and it is $70 for them to come out and do an estimate, but that is applied to the price. They are coming next Saturday.
