Architect / Engineer needed
I would appreciate recommendations for someone who can tell me if an interior wall in my brownstone is structural. Can an architect do this or do I need a structural engineer? Thanks.

5:26 - you are kidding?
Obviously you do not like architects or had a bad experience with one.Brownstone are not as complicated as they seem - actually quite basic in term of construction. Again either one will cost you about the same. But please remember if you are making any drastic changes to the house you should file with DOB.

I would ask a contractor instead.

An architect can tell you. I used Richard Massa. 212-367-8992. I recommend him highly. (If you want details, you can e-mail me at jflorio@acmecreative.net.)
