I WISH PEOPLE WHO USE ALLCAPS TO EMPHASIZE THEIR HATRED OF A CONTRACTOR WOULD ACTUALLY GIVE DETAILS OF THEIR EXPERIENCE OR, BETTER YET, AN EMAIL ADDRESS SO THE READERS OF BROWNSTONER AREN'T LEAD TO BELIEVE THAT THE POSTER IS JUST A BITTER COMPETITOR.

If you WANT YOUR COMMENT TO SEEM VALID, PLEASE PUT SOME effort INTO HOW YOU EXPRESS YOUR CONCERNS FOR others.

If he is a licensed contractor then make a complaint to the Department of Consumer Affairs. Check for complaints on future contractors and do not use contractors that are not licensed.

I haven't used them but we are about to take on a large renovation and had a few bids. We called them and my husband after meeting with them said to avoid them at all cost, so we didn't even bother to get an estimate or have them come back out to the house. We just got a bad feeling about them from the beginning, compared to other contractor we have talked to. But like I said we did not use them but I would encourage you to listen to that voice that tells you to run if you hear it :O)

I had them over to get an estimate for taking the fake stucco off the back of my frame house and putting up vinyl siding. The guys that came over started telling em that if I pulled off the stucco, my house would fall down. Apparently they didn't realize that it was a frame house covered with fake stucco and thought it was a real brownstone. Now, I'm just a novice building-watcher, but it's really easy to tell the difference between a real brownstone and a wood-frame house covered with stucco. Especially when it's a townhouse and the attached buildings on either side are wooden-clapboard. Ugh. The images in their animated GIF in the lower right are clip images. I checked out one of their works in progress, they were covering parquet floors with self-adhesive vinyl tines and sponge-painting over original wood trim. -frankrause@gmail.com

Their website says it all. Just bad. I am so sorry you were swindled. Please, please report them but understand that they will be back under a new name as the paper trail starts to pile up.

Subah (aka Anon 7:52?) has been posting crap "recommendations" patting themselves on the back on this forum for months, claiming that anyone who badmouths them "is a retorded."

That website is a hoot. I'm going to hire them for the next big glass corporate building I put up in generic downtown middle America. And certainly can't wait to hire them for my "hogh-end" brownstone renovation.

to be fair,
many great contractors do not speak english. think of the great italian artisans/workers. but, the pictures on that site scream: generic. these are not our projects! hence, the website proves them to be liars. they are passiing off others' work as their own.
