Replacement garbage can lids
Why is it that garbage can lids break/bend/get lost/get stolen so much more often than the cans themselves? Yet the stores do not let you buy a lid only? I am really frustrated. Not because I want to save 20 bucks, it is also bad for the environment to buy a brand new set.
Anybody know of a way to get replacement lids?

No, I don't know of a place that just sells lids. When you do get a new set. Chain them down near the location that you store the cans and they will not take a walk.

Sorry you didn't post sooner. Someone once stole one of my cans, maybe 10 months ago, so I had an extra lid. The sanitation guys never quite understood that I was putting the lid out as garbage, so I was stuck with it. Last week, however, an unmarked can magically appeared in fron tof my house and no one claimed it for a day and a half. I have now kept it as a companion to the lid, so I no longer have a lid to offer you.
