Architect Needed For Small Project in Stuy-Heights
Hello all! I have posted my situation in the past but have recently decided to go the straight and narrow path and am returning for suggestions. As background, I recently bought and moved into a landmarked brownstone in the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District. It has a small illegal bath and kitchen on the parlor-level that was installed by the previous owner. Would it be possible to hire an architect to draw up blueprints and submit them for approval to the various powers that be so that I don't have to remove the kitchen and bath (assuming that the architect assesses the kitchen and bath and find everything in order)?
Also, I would like to install partitions with doors in the hallways on the top and main floor to separate out 2 out of 3 of the apartments from the main hallway (the apartment in the middle is already private).
At any rate, anyone know of an architect who would do this? I am on a tight budget after making this huge life-changing purchase, but don't want to go about things in the wrong way and wind up paying for it in the long run.
Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide!

Very wise choice.

Try these two. They did a quick fix like this for someone I know in Queens that had an illegal bathroom.
