Air Conditioner Problem
My tenant has two window a/c units in his apt. He says that periodically the a/c units trip the circuit breakers in the apt. They are on separate breakers. Sometimes they trip at the same time, sometimes not. I don't think this is an a/c issue – and think maybe the breakers aren't sized correctly. The breakers for the apartment (in the basement near the meter) do not trip. Has anyone had a similar experience and how did they solve it? Any recommendations for an electrician would be appreciated.

I am currently re-wiring two apartments and am using Watts Electrical Corp. They seem to know what they are doing and have high standards. Give Patrick a call at: 718.622.3567 and let him know that Suzy referred him. Good luck.

What else do they have on? I had a tenant that used to use a high powered vacuum, his TV and electrical equipment for computer all on the same circut as his a/c. Why not have a piece of toast and dry your hair too? Just kidding. They tripped the circuit a few times. When they stopped using all of these things on the same circut our problems stopped.
