Graffiti
A local apartment building, in view from my house, was recently tagged multiple times. I spoke with the super about cleaning them up or covering them over but all he did was call the landlord. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions on how I might get this cleaned up?

Call your local police precinct. The landlord is required to remove the graffiti and if he doesn't the City now has a program where they will remove it an charge the property owner.
BTW, the local precints are under a lot of pressure to get control of the grafitti problem so I would expect a fairly quick response. Ask for the Community Affairs Office when you call.

Try the Super again. You can call 311 and you should call your police precinct's Community Affairs Officer. they do need to be aware of the problem, it's a hot "quality of life" topic these days and will respond pretty fast.
I had graffitti on a retaining wall between my house and neighboring apartment building just last week, I reported and a patrol car came around to look at it and informed me that the same tag was on another neighbor's garage and that the garage had been broken into at the same time. Cops said they are patrolling more closely now.
the graffitti is unsightly, yes, but other things may be going on too. Tell your precinct so that they are aware.

Here is a page of some useful links. I know some communities have graffiti removal programs for free. You can try to urge this landlord to contact them :)

I've gone through this before. Here's the best and only solution:
Call 311 and tell them you want to file a building complaint because a landlord has not cleaned up grafitti on a building.
This is different from filing a police report or a complaint with the local precinct about grafitti. The police can't and won't do anything about cleaning it up.
Basically, there's a special complaint form 311 can fill out so the landlord is given a certain period of time to paint over or clean off the grafitti. Otherwise, the city sends somebody to do it.
Not all 311 operators seem familiar with this, so ask for a Housing Preservation and Development specialist before making the complaint.
I made a similar complaint a few days ago and the grafitti has already been covered. When a landlord gets a violation from the city, they'll usually fix it right away.

My wall was tagged on Smith Street, the city called
me and painted it for free. Some sort of anti- =graffiti program they have. If you were tagged
twice, might be something else.
