Designer/Architect sought for screened porch & more
We're feeling the need for i) more privacy and ii) relief from the mozzies, on our 19 X 11 ft parlor-floor rear deck. We're thinking of a screened-in pergola-type structure that would be both aesthetic (traditional or ultra modern -- we're open to both) and functional. We also need a cute backyard shed for garden tool storage etc. Any referrals for great designers or architects or contractors gratefully received.

You could try Fitzgerald At 917 886 9576. He designed and built a beautiful pergola, complete with benches, wooden row planters and trellis(s) for my friend two years ago. There is nothing more serene than sitting out there in the summer under the climbing roses and honeysucke. Good luck with it.

I know this is an older post but has anyone used the above mentioned designers/architects? Also, if I wanted to build a screened porch on the side of my home, do I need a building permit?

yeah Architect Derk is good, he had work on my garden pergola.
