CLAWFOOT TUBS
Anyone know where there is a showtoom that has an assortment of clawfoot tubs on display. Also wondering if anyone has installed an acrylic or arcasone type rather than cast iron. If so what do you think of it? And how is it holding up?

We bought a cast-iron clawfoot from Kohler. It was white and had black legs. We then painted it teal with silver legs to match out bath. It looks great. Just an fyi.

For antique tubs see Cesar on Myrtle Ave between Franklin and Bedford. For new tubs I had very good luck with George Taylor Specialties (plumbing supply) in Manhattan. They are on Franklin Street just off Broadway. They represent many manufacturers, are very knowledgeable and will discount prices. (I am totally in love with my 6ft, undermount cast iron 18" deep tub which I can actually float in!)

Im in the Business of Restoring Antique Tubs & Sinks. I had many customers from all over the North East Satisfied. Id also avoid in Home refinishers only Because they use a Paint and Process that takes only hours to Apply But the finish wont last. Its a Good way if your looking for a Quick Fix And Selling your Home.I know this because used to do in home Tub & Appliance refinishing for over 10 yrs.. My Newer process is Compleatly Different Than in Home Refinishers and My Tubs Can Last As Long As you own it! i do all Work in my Shop Located in Eastern Long Island. Prices for Buying a Compleate Restored Tub in 5 foot Size from me is $650. or only $460 to restore your tub Inside and out. i also do Pick up and Delivery if Needed. If you need any References i have many Customers from all over the region and in Brooklyn........ Checkout my Page at http://www.myspace.com/tubking
