Wanted: clawfoot tub
Anyone getting rid of a clawfoot tub that doesn't need immediate resurfacing? Eddie has one for $125, but I'm willing to take someone else's off their hands for even less! Yes, I'm that cheap (and broke). Thanks.

$125 is actually a good price, but you might find someone willing to give you one -- provided that you have the muscle to haul it away. The only clawfoot left in my house is on the fourth floor, and I always assumed it stayed because no one ever wanted to carry all the way down and out.

that is an amazing price- if you get one that needs to be refinished, consider the $700 price tag that refinishing costs. DIY refinishing works only temporarily. Also, the moving fee for something like that would cost about $300 from the ground floor. Take Eddie's.

OP here. In the past 12 years of doing DIY restorations on various homes, I've always come across these clawfoots for free. I guess I have to get used to the idea of actually paying for one of these babies because people are no longer just throwing them out. Times have changed. I'd haul it myself.
