Market Oil Rate
All of the heating posts have me wondering -- what is everyone paying per gallon for oil. We're paying $2.32 per gallon through NYPIRG this year, versus $1.99 last year. But I think they lock the rate over the summer, and I saw someone else mention that they were paying less this year than last year. Did we get screwed this year?

Our 12 unit coop uses about 9000 gal/yr. We did not lock rate. Most recent bill was @ $1.98/gal

I have a variable rate contract and the rate has been going down all winter. Last bill was $1.99/gallon.

I am NYPIRG as well. The fixed rate (max rate) is unfortunate. However, the rate your oil company has charged should be under the NYPIRG rate since mid-December. If not, your oil company is screwing u!!
