insurance for condo in brownstone

Is there someone who knows something about insuring a condo in a brownstone? I was told that the condo association (which is comprised of 2 units) needs commercial insurance on the entire brownstone. Is that true and is that very expensive? If anyone is in a similar situation and can give me some insight, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes, you do need this insurance for the entire building as well asyour own unit.
Mr. Lesly Desinor 718-724-1801, ext 203, lesly.desinor@libertymutual.com can refer you to someone.

We have one of two condo units in a brownstone. We do have a policy on the entire building (in addition to our individual homeowners policies). The building policy we purchase from the Brownstone Agency. Phone is 212 962-5620, or 212 699-8772. We talk to a person there named Emma Rooney.

Thank-you for both comments. To 2:26 PM, are you satisfied with your arrangement with the other owner? If you have any insight on what it is like to share a brownstone and basically manage a building with strangers, I would appreciate it.
