Looking for accountant/financial planner..

I would love any suggestions of a accountant/financial planner that has experience with small real estate invesment/admin, preferably based in brooklyn, but not necessary. I have a number of decisions to make, and need some guidance. An added bonus would be non-profit experience. Thanks\!

I've been using this great for many years. He has multi-faceted experience and he is fee-based only, which is very important. His name is Robert Walsh and his number is 732-747-6680. Say Emilia recommended.

sorry for the ignorance, but what does fee-based only mean?

usually most financial planners are associated with some financial institutions and charge you a percentage based on your investments. Fee-based is when they charge you per service (per hour, for instance).Fee-based advisors don't make a commission based on a investment they sell to you and thus there is no conflict of interest. here is a link on how to choose an advisor:

My brownstone co-op uses Harvey Kraus on 8th ave in Park Slope. He is very nice. We use him for taxes and admin questions, etc. I don't have is number on me, but I'm sure he is in the book.
