rotten wood around windows
The wood frame of our rear parlor floor stained glass windows is rotten and needs replacement/repair. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it a do-it-yourselfer type job or is a pro needed? Can you recommend anyone reasonable?

Almost anything is salvageable but be prepared to put a little elbow grease into it. The appropriate way to fix it is with a consolidant followed by an epoxy patch. Allow three days to cure. Sand it. Prime it. Paint it. You’re done!
I recommend Conserv Epoxy and Abatron. These are the top two choices of conservationists.
