A talented carpenter?
I'm looking for a talented carpenter to build and paint/stain some custom shelves and brackets. Any advice on someone who not only knows carpentry, but also has some aesthetic sensitivity to making things look appropriate for an old house would be much appreciated.

Try Aiden from Emerald Furniture, he does some gorgeous work. He hired me to take digital photos for his portfolio that he brings when he meets prospective clients. I was amazed at his detail, plus his customers were all excited with the finished job.

Luke Jackson of Jackson Carpentry does beautiful custom work. He's incredibly detail oriented, and has a great eye. He just finished some work for us, which we love. He's Brooklyn-based, and has a shop in the Brooklyn Navy Yards. His phone number is 347-228-5315. Tell him Steve and Michelle recommended him.
