Homeowner's Insurance
I'm trying to become a Brownstoner, but I seem to be having a difficult time finding a homeowner's insurance company. So far, I've spoken with
AllState, GEICO and AIG, but none write policies anymore. Allstate and GEICO says they stopped writing for new policyholder for homes within the 5 boroughs as of a few months ago (not sure why); and AIG doesn't write policies for flat roofs (it is a brownstone rowhouse).
Any suggestions?
