I own the corner house and cablevision has evryones cable connected from my home. I want the unsightly wires down. Do they have any right to do this? Do I have any legal recourse?

Are you sure it's not time warner?
In any event, yes, you legally can have the wires taken down.
Practically, it will be a heck of a battle and may take l o n g time.

a friend of mine made a deal with them and he and his son have premium cable for free as long they live there.

Yes, we did this with television and phone cables running all over the back of our home. It took a few calls and make sure you are there when they finally send out the tech to make sure they do it right. The back of the house looks so much neater. Now if only the next door neighbors would call too...
