Small Plaster Job
I have a small plaster job that needs to be done to my ceiling (6'x6' space). It is approx. 15ft. from a very coveted plaster medallion and there is addition cracking in the surrounding areas. It is possible that we may have the ceiling done entirely, but I really just need this work done now. Any recommendations?

What neighborhood are you in? I do this kind of work all the time. See "my brownstone" ( Sunset Park House ) Maybe I can take care of this for you.

I talked to our plasterer this morning to see if he would be interested and he said he would be. I'd be happy to send you pictures of his work - he is quite skilled, very careful with dust/cleanup (since I've been pregnant he has been so good that now I come home and think he hasn't even sanded!), and a punctual hard worker with a helpful friendly attitude. Over the last year+ of renovations he has become a friend. I can't recommend him enough and wouldn't be, but we need to take a break for a week or so and stockpile some more money to keep going... He promised he'd come back :) Anyway, his name is Joe Reno, email me if you are interested.

I used Gibson Mitchell to do a small ceiling repair. He was very nice and did a good job. I don't have his number on me, can get it for you if you want to email me. I got his name and number off the park slope parents web site.
