New Stoop Railing
I had our stoop redone and now we need to install an iron railing and gate -- the original one was unsalvageable.
We had Vinnie's come out and provide a quote --650. He seemed to have experience with this type of job. Has anyone had good/bad experience with Vinnie's or can you recommend anyone else that has done good work. We really want someone to do a great job on this.

I don't have a recommendation, but curious how much it cost to redo your stoop, and what materials did you use?

I have used Vinnies many times over the years and I will use him again on my new house.
Did you ask him about salvaging the old one? I was told that mine was beyond repair and Vinny restored it beautifully... Of course it depends on whether or not it is worth fixing...

I have been using Artistic Iron Work for years. Two years ago they restored my original iron work including the large posts that were in pretty bad shape. They do beautiful work.

Kenny's Ironworks is very good. Used them several times. 917-676-6019. He's doing work for me now too.

Do NOT use AJ Ironworks (Tony), they will rip you off. We used them and I truly believe that we paid way too much. We salvaged our rails and they had to add a few things, but there is no way it should have cost what it did. We made a mistake and I would just encourage everyone to STAY AWAY!

I had AJ and Vinny give me a quote on a job and AJ ws almost double. Vinny did a great job...
