security gate
i'm interested in getting recommendations for a steel or iron security gate for the front door on our house in the south slope. i don't need anything to fancy, and don't want to pay thousands.
any recommendations?

i got a quote from the iron work guy by ft hamilton ave by the battery tunnel and bqe entrance triangle. he was the cheapest of four quotes i got but have not used him yet.

yes, i'd seen the iron work shop on ft. hamilton ave near the tunnel entrance, and was going to check him out before deciding.

I'm a brownstone mason and I met him when I was working for Carbonell in the city, he also works for Adami, and of course he works for me too.

My recommedation, Custom Metal Products. The guy to speak to is Irving Boyce-El. 718-602-2819. He beat everyone's price. His website is www.IronWorkNY.com. And by the way Delroy from First Class Fencing didn't even show up to give an estimate. So much for having "excellent work" and the "cheapest" price around if he doesn't show up when he says he will.
