Gowanus Houses Rumor
Has anyone heard the rumor that the Gowanus Houses Projects are going to be turned into Condos? iS there any truth to this?

They are actually turning the Gowanus Housing Projects into a single family residents. It's true.

I grew up on Wyckoff St and that rumor has been around as far back as I can remember (early 80's)

Just a rumor.
In Chicago, rumors were floated for years about the most notorious housing project being turned into luxury housing. This was always discounted as a rumor, but it eventually happened.
The moral: sometimes rumors can turn out to be true.
Probably not in this case though.

I would like to confirm the status of the Gowanus houses. I have heard the rumour literally "on the street" does anyone know where the details can be found?
Saying that I have a social-worker friend who knows people from the projects in FortGreene, and she tells me that they are in the process of converting the project to condos.
