Direct Buy Program
We are in the process of renovating a three family in Bed Stuy and wondered if anyone has info on that Direct Buy program. It seems pretty good but, I'm wondering are the discounts real. We have to replace floors, windows, appliances, etc and are looking to save cash. If anyone has feedback please let us know, I don't want to waste time with a "club" if I'm not going to save cash.

i was going to attend once but decided not to after speaking to a friend who was a paid mystery shopper at their seminar. she couldn't remember the exact price but thought it was in the several thousands to join plus monthly membership fee.

I have some friends who just joined one in Queens. It sounded pretty cool.Apparently they stock really high-end brands (Sub-Zero, Viking, etc). The initial fee was something like $3500. Not sure about monthly fees. They are building a house in the Hamptons and seemed to think it was worth it.

you pay $3500 and then what, I wonder, do you pay for a sub zero? thousands less?

Caveat emptor.

4500 to join for 3 years with an option to renew @ 200 per year for the next 6 years.
Its a HIGH pressure sale - you must buy in right then & there - if you leave the store the opportunity to join FOREVERE LOST.
