Aluminum Cellar Door?
Does anyone have any thought on getting an aluminum cellar door - instead of a steel one? This would be for my backyard - where it would be nice to have a light door to open and close for easy access to the cellar. Does anyone know anyone who installs aluminum cellar doors?

it might be slippery and/or easy to break into.

It's expensive but we have a heavy cellar door that has a hydralic lift...last owners put it in...it's Bilko...don't know who installed it but its great for security and ease...

Man products on long island installs a metal one with a hydraulic thats super easy to open.. had it for 5 years and it works great. I think its $700.

do a search for floor doors, or basement hatch door. bilco.com should also have alumimum hatch doors on there web site.
