Anderson Vs. Pella?
Anderson vs. Pella -- can anyone offer recommendation/comments?
Considering using Arthur Coppola's company: Allbrand Commercial Windows and Doors, Inc at 951 Third Ave in Brooklyn. Anyone have any experiences with them?
Comments
Conventional wisdom is (in my experience) that Pellas are better than Andersons. I can't speak from experience - I have Pellas and I'm happy with their performance thus far - but everyone I spoke with warned me about Andersons.

Hey Guys,
The first thing you have to decide with either brand is the series your speaking about. Pella does mainly replacement windows, Designer Series and Architect Series. Anderson does mainly new construction windows, 400 and 600 series. New construction windows are always a lower price but are made to sit on a frame hence the term "new construction. Pella offers the Proline series to compete with Anderson in the new construction market. Standard sizing and limited options are what make new construction windows so much cheaper then replacement windows. Homeowners have to remember that using a new construction window means making a standard size fit in an existing opening, the only war to do that is by altering the opening (opening up the the existing window or making it smaller to fit the standard size). This will not work for anyone who falls under landmark guidelines. Whatever window you choose just make sure your comparing "apples to apples".
