Two Family Conversion
Has anyone out there gone through the one fam to a two fam conversion process? I was wondering what the process is like and what the costs will be. Thank you.

See "another c of o dilemma" (8/5/05) same answers apply:
question #1: is it allowed by zoning.
if yes, architect will draw up plans and will tell you want changes you may need to make (having to do with hallways, etc.). Plans will be filed with DOB who will do inspections. If you pass go, collect your new c-of-o.
Bill before paying for renovation: about 5k, but architect will tell you more precisely.
