Help Finding a Contractor
Our family just purchased a three story brownstone in Bed Stuy and we need some help finding a good contractor. We would like someone that has experience restoring the home and finishing the cellar. The structure of the house is good but, the cosmetic work could require a lot…. Please help with any suggestions. Thanks

Try Mark Monk, Inc. We have actually been renovating a brownstone in Bed-Stuy for the last six months and Mark Monk, Inc. was one of our two finalists for the job. Unfortunately, we decided to go with the other contractor and have regretted that decision ever since. While our guy is OK, the folks at Mark Monk (Jeff in particular) were on point and detailed about what they intended to do with our place. While they’re not the cheapest, I’d at least give them a call.

They can go into all the details but when it comes down to the quality and finish - its still questionable. I have used them and regret calling Mark Monk Inc.
