Concrete and stucco
We are excavating the front yard of our brick brownstone with new concrete steps and paving, and redoing the stucco on the newly exposed basement facade with larger windows. We are looking for a good concrete contractor and a good stucco contractor, ideally the same person. Does anyone have recommendations?

There's no good comprehensive list of architects, short of the yellow pages, and that doesn't break them down by specialty. If you know exactly what you want and just need someone to file drawings with the city, you can save money by skipping an architect. An expediter like Scott Schnall 718-875-2036 can draft your plans, stamp the drawings, and file them for you.
But if you want someone to help you with the designs and specifications and direct the contractors, you'll need an architect. Try Delson Or Sherman Architects (www.delsonsherman.com). Good luck.

If it is worth doing at all, it's worth doing it right.
