Water Pressure
Is there any way to improve shower water pressure in a brownstone? It's a tough trade from a big pre-war building's shower.

It could definitely be done. However, you need to talk to a knowledgeable plumber to get a proper diagnosis. There could be a myriad of reasons causing low water pressure: clogged pipes, branch pipes from the street, poorly designed and installed pipes.

i lived on the top floor of a 4-story co-op with poor water pressure and we were able to correct the problem by installing a water pump in the basement that kicked in when the street pressure was below a certain level. it worked wonders - we had great water pressure 24/7. martin plumbing did the instalation.
