Looking for a General Contractor
I'm in a hundred year old Victorian in Ditmas Park. Somewhere around 40-50 years ago, a previous owner "upgraded" the front porch and siding to less than original specs. I'm looking to restore them. Can anyone recommend a good General Contractor or specialist who can redo my porch and re-side my home with an eye towards historical appropriateness? Thanks in advance.

I am a builder in Brooklyn with extensive experience with brownstones and frame houses. I worked in New England building shingle and clapboard period homes and restoring old structures. I am attentive to detail and would love to do more houses in the Ditmas area as the houses are now being restored. I was alerted to your post by a client in Ditmas who is aware of my desire to work in the area. I'm sure she would be willing to discuss my work with you. Currently I work mainly in Park Slope, Brooklyn Hts., and Prospect Hts, Brooklyn, as well as Manhatten. The name of my company is Quirk Ltd. My name is Chris. You may reach me at mrcoux@earthlink.net
