General Contractor
My husband and I are preparing for a major renovation of our Carroll Gardens brownstone including finishing the basement. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a trustworthy, detail oriented general contractor who is experienced in working on brownstones and cares about craftsmanship. Everyone we have worked with in the past has been very sloppy and inconsistent.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

yeah, but he's now in california, though he might return for a serious client. if you're interested, let me know. in five years of restoration, having used over 30 different contractors, i feel he's in a league by himself and very reasonable.

I am just finishing up a full renovation of our brownstone on the upper west side. I went into the project fearful of both the architect and the contractor. To my surprise, the architect we chose has been so incredible that we are thinking about redoing a second one as an investment opportunity. The contractor he located was equally wonderful, and we are finishing 3 months ahead of schedule.
I recommend Eric Scheffield Architects to everyone I know. 646-230-8004
