How to Sell Beautiful Marble Mantles

I am doing renovation work on a brownstone and, unfortunately, will not need approx. 4 beautiful marble mantles in very good condition. Any ideas on how I can get a little money back (from the fortune I spent on the brownstone) by selling the mantles? Thanks.

I don't know how much money you'll get for them, but demolition depot is a dealer in this stuff ... even if you have to give them away, they deserve a better fate then ending up in the garbage.

If you are interested in selling the mantles, I would be interested.

Take pictures of them to antique dealers on Atlantic Avenue and get them priced. I remember Circa (around Hoyt Street) featuring a marble mantle in their window. Shop them around for the best offer. They are valuable.

You can then:

1. Sell them to the dealer that offers you the best price.

2. Sell them on E-bay.

3. Sell them privately. I also would be interested in one of them. You can reach me on 718-923-8057.

Are you absolutely sure that you want to remove and sell them? Houses with original detail are much more desirable and sell for a higher price then those that have been stripped. I personally am trying to replace some of the detail that is missing from my house including the marble mantles.

I would be interested in buying one mantel for a renovation of my brownstone (I need one mantel for one of the rooms that has a working fireplace, but no mantel). Of course, it depends on the size and style of the mantel.

Please email me with dimensions (both overall and inside) if you could.

Thanks,
